Let me start by saying… today was such a FUN day! After the birthday celebration last night, we struggled making it to breakfast in time… but after a quick sprint- we made it! I laid out by the beach for a while and then jumped right into a game of sand volleyball! The cute boys we met yesterday, Joe and Tyler, ended up joining our team. Later we found out that they are from Pittsburg and were leaving tomorrow morning! The whole gang played volleyball for a long time and all we did was win- no matter what! Then the Engle clan had reservations for 2 sailboats- and ironically so did the guy’s families! They each have an older sister and one looks identical to Taylor Swift, which gave Jason plenty of motivation! Jason, Melinda, and I went out on a sailboat. It started pretty well, but then we came to a complete stop. Our initial reaction was, “Jason, you don’t know what the heck you’re doing!” Suddenly, we hit a hard wave and BOOM- our sail completely broke off and landed on top of us! All we could do was laugh. T-Swift and the cute boys came to the rescue… we couldn’t have planned it better than that! In the afternoon we played some more volleyball and swam in the pool with our new Pittsburg boys! Between watching the two girls that never left the bar and spotting the “Big Orange Bikini” girl- it was ultimate bonding! One adult lady that joined our group today drank too much and got lost in the huge resort. It was crazy! Needless to say, everyone was on the search for her… so it was just our family at the steakhouse dinner! After dinner we met up with Joe, Tyler, T-Swift and Lexi (aka Olive). We played some pong and then the 3 older kids went to the discotheque, while we headed to the beach! Joe showed me the Big Dipper for the 1st time and we ALL spotted a shooting star! It was completely UNREAL! Of course we played the song Airplanes, because it couldn’t have been more perfect! We all laid on the beach and talked- while listening to some music! It was really relaxing and fun to get to know these guys better! I am so glad that our families bonded in such a short time! Late at night, Melinda and I headed back to the room and Jason arrived minutes later. We all laid on the bed and had pillow talk, exchanging our crazy stories from the night- nothing beats that!!!
