Day 346: Peace.

"I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid." John 14:27

This morning at River Pointe Church, the Austin Drum Line performed and Patrick Kelley preached about Our Christmas Story from God's perspective. He explained how God came to be a hiding place for us, to be our very best friend, and most importantly to be our personal Prince of Peace. We often misunderstand the gift of peace that Christ brought to us. He is the only thing that can truly satisfy and fulfill our heart's deepest desires. This holiday season I am seeking peace with my Creator, peace with myself and peace with others. We don't have to be perfect in order to gain God's love, nor will our actions ever grant us peace. But we must be willing to show grace and forgiveness to those who have harmed us. Christ is our peace—believe and trust that this Christmas season.

"Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:7
